You spend your time branding others, so what is your core brand?  I create impactful narratives that resonate with and move people — to think, connect, buy or act. I care deeply about my work and the people with whom I work, and I bring a unique mix of left brain business discipline with right brain creative talent. 

How do you create impactful communications? 

I do three things:

First, I figure out what makes something tick. I listen, learn, read, ask, analyze, probe, de-construct and re-build, until we figure it out – it’s always a collaborative process.

Second, I precisely position a brand, issue, idea, product or story for maximum impact.

Finally, I craft the story, utilizing and integrating all forms of communication and connection – aligned to a specific plan that defines, defends or grows a brand.

What’s your expertise? 

I work with dynamic, volatile and transitional brands, particularly early and growth stage businesses, non-profits and start-ups. I have experience in a wide variety of industries, from health and education to law, the environment, food, public policy and even national security.

Do you focus on one media? 

I work where brands live, which means most of my work is digitally-based, but I’m skilled at creating integrated narratives in all media and I’m always pushing myself to stay fresh, which is why I produced and starred in an independent film, hosted and edited a successful political podcast, taught myself code to produce web sites and immersed myself in social media by co-writing “Community, Connection and Conversation: Making Social Media work for Business” with Glenn Gaudet. I am passionate about all forms of communication.

How do I know if you’re the right fit for me? 

Talk to me, or my clients, and understand what makes me tick. Just as every story is unique, so is my style. I’m an award-winning screenwriter and author with 25 years of experience in the US Senate (for Sen. Biden and Sen. Rockefeller), on Wall Street and with new ventures. I’m chameleon-like in that I can get into other people’s heads very easily, which is why I’m a good speechwriter, screenwriter and ghostwriter, but my own work is consistently direct, personal, empathic, engaging, slightly irreverent and iconoclastic, executed to the highest caliber and always emotionally relevant.

We take our work VERY seriously, but we don’t take ourselves seriously. We’re in this for the challenge, and for the joy of working with, and helping, people we care about.
